BRM is a masonry restoration company working across Akron, Cleveland and the surrounding Northeast Ohio area. We are taking on both experienced masons and helpers who want to learn the trade properly.
The work is a mix of historic brick restoration, tuckpointing and chimney repair on residential properties, commercial and industrial masonry, and outdoor living builds - paver patios, hardscapes and stonework. A good deal of our residential work sits in the historic corridor along Akron Peninsula Rd, where the standard is high and the detail matters.
If you are experienced, you will be laying and repointing to a restoration standard on buildings meant to stand another century. If you are starting out, you will work alongside people who know the trade and be taught properly rather than left carrying buckets.
Work is year-round rather than seasonal. Pay reflects what you can actually do, from $25/hr for a capable helper up to $45/hr for an experienced restoration mason.

What you'll need
Reliable transport to job sites across the Akron and Cleveland area.
Comfortable working from scaffold and at height.
Able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and work outdoors year-round.
Skilled roles: demonstrable experience with brick, block and stone, particularly tuckpointing and restoration.
Helper roles: no experience needed, but turn up on time and be willing to learn.
Own hand tools an advantage. We supply everything else.
